Waiting On Wednesday #4 Dead Girls Society by Michelle Krys

galaxyblogwaitingonwednesday1

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. I’m currently anticipating Dead Girls Society by Michelle Krys, it’s a book that looks so amazing and even a little mysterious, which I love.

Expected publication: November 8, 2016

Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Mystery, Thriller

Add to your To Be Read shelf on Goodreads.

Pre-order on Amazon or Book Depository.

Synopsis: You are cordially invited to participate in a game of thrills and dares. Tell no one, and come alone. If you dare.

Hope is sick of everyone treating her like she’s breakable. Sure, she has cystic fibrosis (basically really bad lungs), but she’s tired of being babied by her mom and her overprotective best friend, Ethan, not to mention worrying about paying for her expensive medication and how she’s going to afford college. And she’s bored with life in her run-down New Orleans suburb.

When an invitation arrives from a mysterious group that calls itself the Society, Hope jumps at the chance for some excitement. This could be her ticket out. All she has to do is complete a few dares and she might win some real money.

But the Society isn’t all it seems . . . and soon Hope finds that playing the game isn’t a choice—it’s a requirement.

What book are you waiting for this Wednesday? Are you also waiting for Dead Girls Society?

Freebie Friday #7

freebiefriday1

Hi guys! Don’t you just love Fridays? I know I do. I have a statistics exam tomorrow, on a Saturday yes, but I’m trying to stay calm and just think about all the books I can treat myself with afterwards. Maybe I’ll try one of the following books, they seem just great. This week the two free books I’m recommending are Let Me Be the One by Lily Foster and Six of Hearts by L.H. Cosway. Both are New Adult books about romance.

Remember guys, the books I recommend are free the moment I publish my post but I can never guarantee they’re free for long so once you see it, grab it! That’s what I do.

letmebetheone1Let Me Be the One by Lily Foster

Goodreads. Amazon.

Running away can be a good thing…

From the outside, Darcy Donovan’s life seems perfect. She’s beautiful, intelligent, popular and dating a guy who is every girl’s dream. But nothing that seems perfect ever really is. A year abroad is her escape—a chance to put some distance between them and also a chance to leave behind the shaken, insecure girl she has become.

Tom Farrell has been waiting in the wings, watching as his friend screws up a relationship with the one girl Tom considers out of his reach. An entire year passes with Tom making changes in his life; changes he hopes will make Darcy see that he’s the one worthy of her heart—that he should be the one.

Let Me Be the One is the first book in the Let Me series intended for readers 18 and older due to mature content. The Let Me series is a collection of stand-alone stories. There are no cliff-hangers but the books are inter-connected as characters are introduced that may feature in subsequent story lines. If you are a fan of Happily Ever Afters that come only after the characters struggle, stumble and sometimes fail…then you will laugh, cry, occasionally cringe, and ultimately fall in love right along with them.

Step right up and meet Jay Fields: Illusionist. Mentalist. Trickster.

I think in triangles. You think in straight lines. I show you a table and make you believe it’s a chair. Smoke and mirrors, sleight of hand, misdirection. I trick and deceive. But most of all, I put on a good show.

The world thinks I killed a man, but I didn’t. Bear with me. It’s all a part of the plan. Revenge is what I want. I want it for me and I want it for her. I want it for all six of us.

She doesn’t remember me, but she’s the reason for everything. She’ll be my prize at the end of all this–if I can hold onto my willpower, that is. Maybe I’ll slip up a little, have a taste, just a small one.

So go ahead and pick a card. Come inside and see the show. Look at my hands, look so closely that you can’t see what’s happening while you’re so focused on looking. I’ll be destroying your world from right here in the spotlight.

You’ll never see me coming until it’s too late. I’ve only got one heart, and after I’ve pulled off my grand deception I’ll hand it right to her. So, sit back, relax, and let my girl tell you our story. You’re in for one hell of a ride.

Top Ten Tuesday #2 REWIND Top Ten Books I HAD to Buy but Still Have Not Read

toptentuesday1

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. If you want to read more about their blog feature and join the fun, you can do it here.

This week the theme of Top Ten Tuesday is REWIND meaning we should back and do a topic we missed over the years, or recently, or a topic we really want to revisit. Considering this is only my second week of doing Top Ten Tuesday this fit me like a T. I looked at all their previous topics and found one that fit me just perfectly, Top Ten Books I HAD to Buy but Still Have Not Read. For those who don’t know me, I’m a serial e-book buyer. I’m on Amazon all the time and am always searching for good books for a good price (this also inspired me to start my blog feature Freebie Friday). This has left me with a lot of books in my kindle library and also a few in my physical library that I’ve still not read. So here are ten books I had to buy but still haven’t read,

1. I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You by Ally Carter.

2. Flat Out Love by Jessica Park.

3. The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma.

4. Seven Ways We Lie by Riley Redgate.

5. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller.

6. The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa.

7. How To Be Bad by E. Lockhart, Sarah Mlynowski and Lauren Myracle.

8. The Night We Said Yes by Lauren Gibaldi.

9. The Unearthly by Laura Thalassa.

10. Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas.

Which books did you just have to buy but still haven’t read? I’m really excited to know so comment with your answer. What theme did you choose this week for Top Ten Tuesday?

Freebie Friday #2

freebiefriday1

Another Friday is here and isn’t it just marvellous? I love Fridays and because it’s Friday I’m here with another Freebie Friday for you guys. I mean it is always a good day for some free books but on a Friday as well, it’s almost as if Christmas came early. For this Freebie Friday I’m going to mention two books I haven’t read yet but grabbed earlier this week, In Too Deep by Mara Jacobs and In Too Deep by Tracey Alvarez.

Even though these two books have the same title, cool I know, they’re quite different. Both in setting and what they’re about. However, they’re both New Adult romances and about love that is a lot more complicated than it should be. Both of these book intrigue me and seem like the perfect read for the summer.

Remember guys, the books I recommend are free the moment I publish my post but I can never guarantee they’re free for long so once you see it, grab it! That’s what I do.

In Too Deep by Tracey Alvarez

She vowed never to return.

To save her brother from financial ruin, Piper Harland must do the one thing she swore she’d never do—return to the tiny island home-town where Ryan “West” Westlake crushed her heart. Piper is tough, resilient and a little wild—much like the remote and beautiful Stewart Island where she grew up. As a cop who’s part of the elite New Zealand Police National Dive Squad, bringing the dead back to their families still doesn’t stop the guilt she feels over her father’s drowning death. Now nine years later she’s obligated to return to a hostile community as the outsider, and forced to work with the man who was once her best friend and first lover.

She’s a risk he can’t take.

West is an Island man, through and through. As owner of the local pub, he lives and breathes the local community, and sure as hell can’t imagine living anywhere else. But most of all he refuses to ever fall for a woman like his flighty mother. He lost Piper once to give her the chance to fulfil her dreams of becoming a cop. But now she’s back for an unexpected six week visit to help her brother—his best mate. Maybe West wants her a little bit, maybe he can’t resist the temptation to tease and touch her, but can he fall in love with such a flight risk?

Saying goodbye the second time might just destroy them both.

In Too Deep by Mara Jacobs

I didn’t believe in love at first sight, until I first saw Lucas Kade.

I was giving swimming lessons to children when I first saw him. Turns out one of the kids was Lucas’s little brother. So, I’d be seeing a lot more of Lucas. And that was just fine with me.

I had a lot going on—a freshman at an elite college, first time away from home, and, oh yeah, roommates with a girl I’d been sent to spy on. I wasn’t exactly looking for anything exclusive. Something casual, though, would be great.

But there was nothing casual about my feelings for Lucas.

He was a townie, hiding a secret, and I knew better than to get involved. I was always the sensible one, the peacekeeper.

Before I knew it…I was In Too Deep.

This was the free books for this week, have you read any of these already or do you have them on your to be read list?
