A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi Book Playlist

bookplaylist6-acrownofwishes

Hi galaxy travelers and readers! I hope all is well with you. Here in Sweden, there is still a raging heatwave (like in most of Europe at the moment) and I’m just trying to survive it. Don’t get me wrong, I love the summer and I love the heat but this is really not good for the environment. We at least need a little rain, nature is dying. However, despite all of that, I managed to write up this blog post for you all. This book playlist for A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi was truly difficult to make, I wanted it to be just perfect. I really love this book and Gauri and Vikram which is why I want this playlist to really represent their relationship and the journey they go in A Crown of Wishes. I redid the playlist at least twice but the end results made all the hard work worth it. This is a playlist I’m really proud of. If you haven’t read the amazing books in The Star-Touched Queen series, I really recommend you do so. Roshani Chokshi’s words are magical and her world even more so. You can add the series to your TBR on Goodreads and purchase specifically A Crown of Wishes on Amazon, Book Depository, Barnes & Noble, The Ripped Bodice, and Adlibris.

The Boyfriend Backtrack by Dawn Lanuza EP (A Mini Book Playlist)

bookplaylist2-boyfriendbacktrack.png

Hi there, fellow aliens and world travelers! Today’s post is all about The Boyfriend Backtrack by Dawn Lanuza and the playlist I made inspired by it – I like to call it the Regina and Chase EP. If you have been following this blog for a while, you might have seen me post playlists before (which I loved doing) but it has been ages and I’m glad to get into it again. Many thanks to my lovely friend Sue who pushed me to do this.

This playlist inspired by my one true pairing in The Boyfriend Backtrack is meant to celebrate love that runs deep, love that is all about second chances, the moments we don’t realize become the moments where we meet the one, and the journeys we go on to finally end up with our one true love. It is no secret that I love The Boyfriend Backtrack, as seen by my gushing review posted earlier this week, and the endless tweets I have dedicated to this book. For those that have read this book, I hope you like this playlist as much as I enjoyed creating it. For those that haven’t read this book yet, I hope this post will be the last push you need in order to finally buy it and read it for yourself. Buy the book on Amazon, Book Depository, Barnes & Noble, and The Ripped Bodice.

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW GIRL GANG {ft. books, music, movies, and tv series}

Welcome book galaxy travelers! Today is all about those girl gangs, strong women who support each other and deal with their ups and downs together. The other day I was listening to one of my favorite songs ever called Girl Gang and got the brilliant idea for this blog posts. In this blog post, there will be awesome girl power music, books that feature amazing female friendships and movies and tv series that show you the most amazing girl gangs you have ever seen. I really hope you’ll enjoy all of my recommendations.

I want to thank my very close friends Diep and Sue for helping me with the book recommendations. I would like to think we are our very own Girl Gang (we have a name and everything, the only thing missing is the matching jackets, to be honest). I love you girls, thank you for everything. If you haven’t already, you really need to check these two out. Sue can be found on Twitter, Instagram, Goodreads and on Hollywood News Source. Diep can be found on Twitter, Instagram, and Goodreads. Now onto the Girl Gang recommendations.

Music Recommendations

Let’s start this post with the playlist I made. It’s filled with powerful songs that make you just want to celebrate yourself and all the women in your life. Check it out below.

You can listen to the playlist on Spotify here or YouTube here, and you should totally listen to it while reading the rest of this post. There is nothing like good music to set the mood. The playlist is filled with songs I’m sure you’ll all have heard before plus some new goodies I hope you’ll really enjoy. You can also listen to the playlist down below.

Book Recommendations

To go with the playlist I also have lots of books to recommend you, with lots of different kinds of female friendships and girl power in them. I love all of the books I’ve read out of these and can’t wait to read to the ones haven’t since they come highly recommended from dear friends. These books range from middle grade to adult in age category but amazing girl gangs and female friendships exist in them all.

Hi, readers! Today I have a post for Rich in Variety‘s blog tour for The Melody of You and Me by M. Hollis. I have been following the author, Maria, for a while now on Twitter and when I saw that you could sign up to be a part of this blog tour, I just knew I had to do it. When I first read the synopsis for The Melody of You and Me I thought this book sounded great and now that I have read it, I can tell you this. I was wrong, it was better than great, it was amazing! You can read my review below and also see a playlist for this book.

About the Book

Author: M. Hollis
Publisher: Self-Published
Publication Date: September 29, 2016
Genre(s): New Adult, Contemporary, Romance, LGBT+
Page Number: 82

After dropping out of university and breaking up with her girlfriend of three years, Chris Morrison’s life is now a mind-numbing mess. She doubts that working at the small neighborhood bookstore is going to change that. The rest of her time is spent mostly playing guitar and ignoring the many messages her mother keeps sending her about going back to college.

But one day, an adorable and charming new bookseller waltzes her way into Chris’s life. Josie Navarro is sweet, flirty, and she always has a new book in her hands. The two girls start a fast friendship that, for Chris, holds the promise of something more. But is she reading too much into this or is it possible that Josie feels the same way?

I can’t imagine a universe where The Melody of You and Me doesn’t get all the 5 planets (or as mundane people call it, stars) in the world, just for being absolutely fantastic. This story blew me away, in the best way possible. It’s funny, it’s cute and it explores so many topics that so many people just like to ignore instead of face head-on. The Melody of You and Me is about two girls, Chris and Josie, who fall in love over time spent working together in a bookstore. Their story will make your heart swell with love and will have you flailing in your bed, making weird facial expressions, from fangirling over how amazingly cute it is. Don’t doubt this for a single second, that’s just the way it is.
